Update: Today's game is scheduled to start at 2 pm at GapBridge
Due to even further scheduling difficulties, the Wifftober epic has been stretched to two days. . Saturday's game will be at HST and will only go 9 innings. The score will be carried over to Sunday's series finale at GapBridge. This game will go until there is a winner.
In order to get your name added to the trophy (at a later date), you must participate in both games. Full stats will be kept and posted within 7-10 working days. Write-ups and photos will be expected from multiple sources.
I will be providing a keg of Switchback to travel to both games. If we are so lucky, I feel a few beers at Dan's on Saturday would be prudent.
Gents, this is for all the marbles, the bragging rights, a winter's worth of insults.

The Great Ox has spoken. NOTE: Game time change. Come one come all. Whatever it takes. Bring the kids. Old School rules.
I have a Hot Rod, a Howell and a Lymer in for a Sunday afternoon wiffling. Call it a 2:07 start. Field preps to begin an hour or so earlier. Any other takers?
Families welcome...though there will be fewer berries and snakes for entertainment at this time of year.
Wifftober is in the air. Loggers and Lagers battle for first place this Saturday.
Players and/or families are welcome to after game grillin' and hangin'if the weather is friendly.
GAME TIME 3:07 SHARP.
Please join the Lymer and I in breaking in the new digs this Sunday. There will be burgers, dogs and beer provided. Appetites seeking other fare can BYO. Families certainly welcomed.
As the week wears on I will be getting the backyard in shape for an inaugural wiffle. Perhaps I can even post a few photos as the evolution progresses if I can ever remember to get my camera cable back from the Hot Rod.
Game start time is up for discussion. Party starts at 2pm regardless. What works best for everyone?
beginning at about noon on friday the special ladyfriend and i will start loading up the gypsy wagons for the great moving marathon, putting an end to my long apartmented past. i anticipate we will be in constant motion until sometime sunday evening.
if anyone out there in Wiffledom (men, women, children all included) should feel the need for fresh air, physical exertion or just a couple hours out and about...we could probably use a hand.

sweat on the brow will be met with cold beverages. rumble in the belly will be silenced by the finest meats and cheeses throughout the land.

In honor of very good friends of mine visiting from Germany, Hunter S. Thompson Memorial Greens will host "Ich bin ein Wiffler" on July 27th from 10-1pm.
This will be a celebration of the best of America and the best of Germany. Quite simply put; beer, brats, and wiffle. Bring your game, your grill, some sausage, and some reputable bier.
The Bristol Lagers (3-3) will travel to GapBridge Feild in Lincoln to battle their division rival, the Loggers (3-3), SUNDAY, July 13. Game time is 8:55 AM SHARP.
Hunter S. Thompson Memorial Greens presents the wiffle event of July, WIFFDEPENDENCE DAY, because May isn't the only month for over the top wifftravaganzas. Celebrate the country's independence and your utter dependence on wiffle.

Game to start around 1 pm or so.

A settlement was reached late last night which will once again allow the "multi-use" of the Friendly Confines. The prolonged and sometimes ugly legal battle was spawned late in last years Wiffle season when the co-tenants, a small flock of sheep, complained about what they deemed as uneccessary grass cutting.
In an AP interview last September a spokesruminant was quoted "We just won't stand here on four legs and watch perfectly good grass get cut for grown men to play a child's game". The ruminants, backed by the powerful livestock lobby and the animal rights group PETA, vowed to take the fight to the Supreme Court.
Just after 2AM Saturday, mediators for both groups were able to hash out an agreement which will allow for a limited but concentrated season of Wiffle at the Friendly Confines. The Commissioner of LOWBALL, Tommie Thompson, was thrilled with the outcome. "This incident was unfortunate but in the end we're walking away with a land-use plan that is really on the cutting edge. As far as we know, this will be the first rotational grazing plan that incorporates athletic field maintenance and use. This is truly a win-win and we are just thrilled to be back playing the sport we love in a venue that means so much to so many people". The ruminants were not available for comment but are said to be pleased with the plan which will allow for full use of the confines as well as expanded use of other nearby pasture.
Early Saturday morning confines grounds keeper "El Guapo" was busy preparing the field for opening day on Sunday. When asked how he felt about Wiffle being back at the confines Guapo responded simply with "bueno, muy bueno".
Sunday at 10:04 WIFFLE IS BACK AT THE FRIENDLY CONFINES!!!
