Jared Williams Foundation Tournament - Little Fenway/Little Wrigley
Submitted by El Guapo on July 17, 2007 - 10:53pm
Does anyone want to participate in a fund raising tourney at Little Fenway and Wrigley - each team needs to raise $750 for families with chronically ill children.
I'm thinking we could get LOWBALL logo shirts made and sell them help raise the funds. Any other ideas???

If your interested please comment as we will need to act soon.

I have always wanted to play at Little Fenway. I couldn't find what the dates are for the tourney. That is not a whole lot of money to raise. I am sure between t-shirts and a few local sponsors we could pull it off.

I agree. If we can get shirts made for $12 and sell (20) at $30 that would be $360. We could invite a boat load of people to the Mid-Summer Classic and sell $5 family packs - raise another $100. Each player kicks down $50 at (7) for $350. Let's see that we are at $820 already...
Your are the only to respond thus far but I think we could field a team. I'll move on it.
We need to brush up the logo. I have a few suggestions:
-LOWBALL one word
-Replace wiffle and fun with Old School Wiffle or Lincoln Vermont
-Replace mountain with outline of Mt. Abe
What do you think?

I can handle all those changes, all were on my plate already except the Mt. Abe one. If someone has a decent photo of Mt. Abe, I would gladly accept it. I will try to get the initial changes made to the logo this weekend. I would also like to replace the batter with a photo of one of us. Tommie may have a few on his camera.
For t-shirts we may need to simplify the logo. There are a lot of colors in the current one. Two colors would be ideal. I will work up something. When I did the Mongol Rally, we got our shirts for $7 a shirt, of course that was for one color.
Overall the money doesn't bother me, it is for charity, we can find some help.
