Lonichiro Mysteriously Goes on the DL

Late breaking news in the world of wiffle. Star slugger and pitcher for the Lagers, Lonichiro, goes on the DL just as 11th hour negotiations commence about the site of a wiffle game for the weekend. Rumors abound that the pitcher is bereft after he was so rudely treated by the handsome one in last weeks epic opener at the friendly confines. Some have suggested that he spiraled into depression after he gave up the grand slam to his arch nemesis, El Guapo, that changed the course of the game last week. Others have suggested that he might be in rehab at the Wifflearium, the home for troubled sluggers, in Scarsdale, NY. One bizarre rumor was circulated that he might be attending a yoga conference for the weekend, but no one close to the slugger would give any credence to that bit of slander. All his manager would say is that the player formerly known as the "Lights-out Lonichiro" was doing some soul searching and would not be available for his regularly scheduled start.
