Is El Guapo Dead?

As the dust settles from the weekend's drama filled Mid Summer's Classic, the questions start to arise. Why was there no funeral for El Guapo and where is the body? The LowPress has petitioned the Friendly Confines for the opportunity to view the deceased. However to date, these requests have been firmly denied.

A spokesperson was quoted as saying, "perhaps the LowPress should spend more time writing about the actual wiffle and less time fabricating these tall tales."

Like Andre the Giant, Michael Jackson, and Tupac before him, El Guapo has gained greater fame in his death than he ever saw during his playing career. Sales of his commerative pins and signature bobble belly have sky rocketed in recent days. Speculation has rose that this may all just be an elaborate hoax to drum up interest in the struggling league. The LowPress will continue to investigate.
